CBS once again owned Thursday night, clobbering its rivals in every hour of primetime among total adults, although coming in second in the key 18-49 age group at 10:00 as ABC's Scandal edged out Elementary. Taking the biggest hit was Fox's American Idol, which has seen its ratings erode virtually every week during the season. On Thursday, it averaged 12.33 million viewers -- a far cry from The Days when it routinely pulled in twice that many viewers. Without that strong lead-in, Glee saw its numbers drop to 5.17 million, putting it in third place among total viewers and last place among the 18-49 demo. NBC continued to flounder on a night that it once dominated. Its programs averaged just 3.48 million viewers, behind CBS with 13.79 million, Fox with 8.75 million, and ABC with 7.56 million.
