Cee Lo Green's publicist has slammed a new lawsuit accusing the star of refusing to perform at two Christmas concerts, insisting he had not set up a deal to front the gigs.

The Crazy hitmaker is being sued by bosses at Cierra Management Group, who claim they struck up an agreement with Green's team for him to front two shows in exchange for $243,000 (£151,875) over the festive period (12).

But the gigs failed to materialise and now lawyers have targeted the singer in a $14.2 million (£8.8 million) suit.

Green's rep has hit back, claiming the deal was never agreed, telling Tmz,com, "When this story came out yesterday, it was the first time that CeeLo Green and his current management team had even heard about this concert deal.

"Most importantly, CeeLo was never compensated or involved. It is unfortunate and ridiculous that CeeLo Green's name is associated with such an incident as this is not how he handles business."
