Is Charlie Sheen about to take on a new role as the President of the United States? It would seem so after his rep confirmed that movements on Twitter were indicative that the actor was in talks with the people behind 'MAChete Kills' to play the role.
'MAChete Kills' is the sequel to the 'MAChete', Roberto Rodriguez' Grindhouse action thriller and it was Rodriguez himself who made an announcement via twitter that read, "I just cast Charlie Sheen in machetekills as the President of the United States! Who better? More soon." Well, sure, anyone could Tweet that, I hear you cry; yes, but then Sheen only went and re-tweeted it!
'MAChete Kills' will once again star Danny Trejo, lead in the first movie and if Sheen does join the cast he'll be joining a fine one indeed, with Jessica Alba, Mel Gibson, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara and Zoe Saldana all appearing. The Sheen family of course are no strangers to playing the role of the US President either, with Charlie's father Martin Sheen giving one of the finest portrayals of an American leader figure to date in long running series 'The West Wing'. Given Charlie's recent history we wonder whether the President that appears in 'MAChete Kills' might be a somewhat liberal leader.
