Charlie Sheen's TWO AND A HALF MEN co-star Jennifer Taylor is urging the troubled actor not to quit the hit sitcom - because they "don't have a show" without him.
Sheen has been mired in personal troubles since an alleged altercation with his wife Brooke Mueller on Christmas Day (25Dec09) left him facing criminal charges. He subsequently halted production on his TV show by checking into rehab.
The actor returned to work and wrapped the filming of season seven last month (Apr10), but reports subsequently emerged suggesting he would not be returning for another series.
Sheen failed to silence the gossip by revealing he wouldn't be upset if he didn't reprise his role again, but Taylor, who plays Sheen's on/off onscreen girlfriend, is hoping he decides to continue - because the show can't survive without him.
She tells E! News, "If we don't have Charlie, we don't have a show. I'm just hoping we're going to have a show. You know what? I think it's a toss-up (whether Sheen returns). I think Charlie would be at peace if he walked away, but I hope he won't.
"He was wonderful (to work with). He was always professional. He was always kind. All that stuff you hear in the press is not the Charlie I know."
