Charlize Theron, the South African actress known for her flowing golden locks (and obviously a few good movie roles too) isn't going to be known for them anymore! Pictures have emerged this week of the glamorous 36 year-old in which she's looks to have got rid of that famous blonde hair and replaced it with . nothing! The UK's Daily Mail has snapped Theron walking around with a variety of hats on trying to hide her latest haircut - a shaved head!
The reason for the do has been the source of much speculation for the media, with some wondering if, following her role in 'Prometheus,' she was paying a tribute to Sigourney Weaver who shaved her head after appearing for director Ridley Scott in 'Alien 3,' others wonder if she's simply inspired by the likes of Sinead Oconnor, and of course some are suggesting she's just gone mad.
The real reason though is that she's readying for another new film role, with a rep saying she's now gearing up for the part of Furiosa in the movie 'Mad Max: Fury Road'. Speaking about the role recently she'd said "I feel like the original 'Mad Max' created such a vivid world, that to go back and re-imagine it and kind of replay in that sandbox sounds like fun to me. George really created a female character that I've never read anything like this. I mean, I'm scared (expletive)! I'm very excited about it; I'm (expletive) dying! It's been three years; it's time to skin this cat already!"
