Monaco's Charlotte Casiraghi has been announced as the face of Gucci Cosmetics.

The 27-year-old beauty, who is the daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco, is preparing to add another accolade to her list of achievements, as the journalist and model has been asked to front the luxury brand's first ever collection of cosmetics.

Charlotte - who is also the equestrian ambassador for Gucci - wore exclusive pieces designed by Gucci creative director Frida Giannini while competing in the Global Champions Tour show jumping event in 2012, and she's confessed she loves working with the designer.

She said: ''I have really enjoyed my relationship with Frida over these last four years, and I am now excited to work with her again on this signature project.

''I have great admiration for her both as a designer and a strong and visionary woman.''

The campaign, which features photographs by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and a digital film directed by Fabien Baron, is scheduled to be unveiled during the launch of the Gucci Cosmetics collection - which includes Gucci Eye, Gucci Face, Gucci Lip, Gucci Nail and a range of luxurious brushes - this September.
