Singer Charlotte Church is set to embark on a small tour of her native Wales to showcase the "most important" work of her career, but refuses to reveal anything about her new music.
The former classical star has kept a low profile in recent years, retreating to her house in the Welsh countryside, but is now set to perform her first new material since her last album, Back to Scratch, in 2010.
Church will perform at several small venues in Wales over the summer (12), but insists fans will have to wait until the shows to learn about her new sound.
She tells Walesonline.co.uk, "I'm very content, I like living in Wales and having my little home life and I'm satisfied with that.
"I've never really toured before. It will be really different for me... I don't really want to tell anybody what they're going to get - I want people to judge for themselves.
"People keep asking me what genre it's in - and I hate genres, it just doesn't work in my brain, it doesn't compute like that."
Church is also adamant she will only make a full return to the spotlight if she can do it on her "own terms", adding, "I'm not compromising anymore, I'm just not. For whatever that means - if that means that I don't get sales and that mainstream thing, that's absolutely fine."
