Charlotte Church proposed to her boyfriend during a drunken night out.

The 25-year-old singer was enjoying an evening at the Robin Hood pub in her hometown Cardiff, Wales, and popped the question to Jonathan Powell after singing a karaoke version of The Ronettes' 'Be My Baby'.

After performing, she kissed Jonathan, 25, and said: "I want you to be my baby. Will you marry me?"

According to pub patrons Jonathan said yes and as the pair left in a taxi Charlotte could be hear singing 'I'm Getting Married In The Morning', but the next day the star couldn't remember proposing.

A friend of Charlotte's told The Sun newspaper: "She let her emotions get the better of her. They had a good laugh. Who knows what will happen next?"

It is unclear whether the couple are now officially engaged.

Charlotte was previously engaged to Welsh rugby player Gavin Henson - with whom she has two children, daughter Ruby, four, and son Dexter, two - but the pair split in May 2010 after dating for around five years.

Gavin is now dating glamour model Carianne Barrow, who he met on reality TV series 'The Bachelor' - which saw 25 beautiful women compete to be his girlfriend.
