Welsh singer Charlotte Church struggled to cope with rumours and speculation surrounding her personal life following her split from her rugby player fiance Gavin Henson in 2010.
The couple, which shares two children, became the focus of the public's attention when Church and Henson decided to go their separate ways in May 2010, just two months after announcing their engagement.
Tabloid reports suggested the pair had fallen out over Henson's close friendship with model/actress Susie Amy, but Church dismissed the allegations at the time and insisted they were working together to make the split as amicable as possible for the sake of their kids.
However, Church insists it wasn't easy, telling Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "It's difficult to have a break-up anyway without having lots of people spouting lies all over the shop."
The former child star also admits her former flame had always found it difficult to adapt to living their lives in the media spotlight and the extra pressure didn't help their relationship.
She says, "I didn't find it (invasion of privacy) that different to cope with when we got together as my life had always been that mad. But it was weird for Gav, having to adapt to it when he'd never experienced any of that before."
