Cher is moving to London.

The 66-year-old singer has decided to set up home in the British capital after putting her three Los Angeles properties on the market, and will be moving into her luxury penthouse in Canary Wharf, east London, permanently.

A source told The Sun newspaper: ''Cher has always loved London and she has now decided to take the plunge after getting itchy feet.

''The climate will take some getting used to after California, though. She has also put her other California homes, in Hollywood and Venice Beach, up for sale.''

Cher has put her $45 million Malibu home up for sale, and is also looking to sell her $5.5 million Hollywood condo and her $1.8 million beach house in Venice.

The 66-year-old singer - who is rumoured to be worth $305 million - has owned an apartment in the Canary Wharf/Isle of Dogs area for years.

She sparked speculation she would be relocating semi-permanently across the Atlantic back in February when she said she would be heading to London finish recording her new album.

The star's album is due to be released in September after its release was pushed back by her record label.
