Child Star's Driving Conviction
HEATHER RIPLEY, the former child star of 1960s movie hit Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, has been fined by a court in Scotland for driving without a licence.
The 45-year-old found fame playing CARACTACUS POTTS' daughter JEMIMA alongside Dick Van Dyke in the film before quitting acting to become a peace and anti-road campaigner.
Now an unemployed single mother of two, Ripley was given penalty points and fined GBP175 ($315) after admitting the charge.
She claims her license was lost in the post.
