Chloe Sevigny cried every day that she had a wear a prosthetic penis in her new show.
The 37-year-old actress is playing a transgender contract killer in Sky Atlantic's new drama 'Hit & Miss' which launched on Tuesday night (22.05.12) in the United Kingdom - admitted she ''felt like a freak'' when she was fitted with the fake organ.
She said: ''I cried every day when they put it on. I felt very exposed... having people so close to your personal parts anyway, who you're not sleeping with, for an hour and a half each day.''
Chloe also fears the role could make her unattractive to men.
However she isn't ''offended'' she often gets asked to play masculine roles.
The Oscar-nominated star has previously portrayed a butch-looking gay woman in 'If These Walls Could Talk 2', but understands why she gets offered the roles because she has a manly face.
She admitted: ''I do feel like I have some masculine features. I've seen myself on screen and thought that I do look quite masculine. So I could see why they would think of me for this part. I wasn't offended.''
