It was surprise to many when Chris Brown attended Rihanna's birthday party at the famous Hearst Mansion in Beverly Hills earlier this week, but it seems the R&B star was keen to take extra precautions about news of his appearance becoming public knowledge, reports Tmz.com.
In fact, Brown was so paranoid about keeping his appearance a secret, that he tried to force all the partygoers to sign confidentiality agreements. Sources say Brown initially refused to enter the building until everybody inside had signed the contract - sending his assistants in to gather the revellers together. The F.A.M.E star actually managed to accumulate a number of signatures, but insiders say not everybody agreed to sign the confidentiality agreements. Brown eventually walked into the bash and spent "a huge chunk of the night" cosying up to Rihanna. According to sources, the two got "real intimate", sitting next to each other, chatting and holding hands - all now perfectly legal after Brown's restraining order was lifted. Chris Brown is likely to have sought signatures because of the intense media speculation on him following his appearance at the Grammys over the weekend. His wins at the ceremony seemed to once again throw the spotlight on the events of 2009 when Brown assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna.
Other celebrities attending the party on Monday included Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and Chris Martin, though it is not clear whether either of the stars signed the confidentiality agreements.
