Chris Brown's seizure was caused by extreme emotional stress.

The 'Fine China' hitmaker, who collapsed at Record Plant recording studios in Hollywood and suffered an nonepileptic seizure (NES) in the early hours of Friday morning (09.08.13), is on the mend but the incident has been blamed on his intense fatigue and anxiety related to his recent hit and run legal troubles.

A spokesperson for the 24-year-old R&B star told UsMagazine.com: ''While in the studio working early this morning, Chris suffered a nonepileptic seizure (NES. He was not hospitalised.

''His doctor tended to him this afternoon and attributes the NES to intense fatigue and extreme emotional stress, both due to the continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity.''

Chris was previously reported to have refused medical treatment at the scene following the seizure and was fully responsive.

The incident came shortly after Chris, who spent 45 minutes in jail on Monday (05.08.13) after his probation, stemming from his assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, was revoked due to an alleged hit and run accident in Los Angeles in May, claimed he was ''tired of being famous''.

He wrote on Twitter: ''Don't worry mainstream America. After this 'X' album, it'll probably be my last album.

''Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I'm cool & over it! (Sic).''

The singer's new album, 'X', will be released on August 26.
