Singer Chris Brown has defied the complaints of his neighbours by painting graffiti art on the inside walls of his Los Angeles home.

The Kiss Kiss star came under fire from nearby residents when he painted large monster murals on the walls outside his house, and he was subsequently ordered to remove them and pay a fine.

However, Brown has found a way to keep the spray paintings out of sight by spreading them to the inside of his home.

The star has taken a photograph of huge graffiti pieces on the wall of a living area at the property and posted the snap online with the caption, "I like being the person everyone hates... Makes life exciting."
