Chris Brown may be reuniting with Rihanna for a performance on 'American Idol'. According to E! News, it has been rumoured that Chris Brown will perform live with the Bajan star who he once was arrested for assaulting.

'American idol' has had to suffer its worst ratings in history and now producers are hoping that the duo will spice things up. According to E! News, a source stated: 'They want Chris and Rihanna to reunite on the show. If they were to duet on Idol, it would be their first public appearance together, let alone their first live collaboration, since early 2009, when Brown was arrested for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna.' Brown and Rihanna have been spending a lot of time together recently, with them both appearing on each other's songs, Rihanna's 'Birthday Cake' and Brown's 'Turn Up the Music'. In 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna and was sentenced to five years' probation. Rihanna's rep has already denied the rumour, stating, 'It's not true', but the network is yet to make a comment, according to E! News.

Chris Brown recently was spotted snatching a fan's $500 cell phone and driving off with it after she tried to snap a photograph of him. The fan is pressing charges which may send Brown to jail for up to four years. Time will only reveal what Brown and Rihanna have in store for the baying public next.
