Chris Brown appears to be celebrating his successful comeback in style - the 22-year-old has splashed out $1.5 million on a chic three bedroom, three bathroom mansion in Hollywood.
The 2,473 square-foot property is a bachelor's dream, but there's just one hitch - it's only 8 miles from Rihanna's Beverly Crest mansion, reports the UK's Daily Mail. Brown infamously pleaded guilty to assaulting the Barbadian star as the couple were en route to the 2009 Grammy Awards - he was later sentenced to five years' probation and community service. The move shouldn't bother Rihanna too much though, given she's already put her mansion on the market for $4.5 million. Brown appears to have landed a great deal for his new pad, which was listed at nearly $3 million just two years ago - it includes an elevator, glass walls, hi-tech touch screen systems and a huge swimming pool. The R&B singer was allegedly forced to move out of his previous West Hollywood residence after accruing thousands of dollars in parking ticket fines by taking other resident's handicapped spots.
It's been a busy year for the star, who returned with his fourth album F.A.M.E in March 2011. Although the record received mixed reviews, it debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart having sold 270,000 copies in its first week of release - it has since received gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America. .
