Drake will not turn himself in over a nightclub brawl involving Chris Brown, despite law enforcement sources claiming New York police want to speak with everyone in the Wip nightclub on the evening of June 14, 2012.
The fight - allegedly involving Brown, Drake and their respective entourages - left several partygoers bloodied and bruised. Detectives are attempting to get to the bottom of exactly who started the brawl, and want to speak with everyone present, though Drake is refusing to collaborate. His representative Kelly Bush told the New York Post, "Why would he turn himself in when he did not commit any wrongdoing?" Police Commissioner Ray Kelly did not rule out arrests over the incident, saying, "The detectives are looking at it and investigating it, and if an arrest is appropriate, an arrest is going to be made. When detectives got there, no one was there. Eight people were injured. The place was in disarray. They're gathering information". Early reports had suggested both crews got into a beef over the singer Rihanna, who both Brown and Drake have dated, though the speculation has since cooled.
Drake - real name Aubrey Drake Graham - performed at Jones Beach this past weekend. Brown - still on probation for assaulting Rihanna in February 2009 - has already spoken to police regarding the incident.
