Jay-Z thinks his wife Beyonce Knowles is "the second coming" of Michael Jackson.

The '99 Problems' rapper admitted it is "blasphemy" to compare the 'Single Ladies' hitmaker to the 'Beat It' singer - who passed away from acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009, aged 50 - but he has been educated in similar ways by both of them.

Speaking on Miami radio station 99 Jamz, he said: "What I've learnt from her is similar to what I learnt from [Michael Jackson] - and I know that's blasphemy to compare the two because Mike was such an innovator, but I think she's like the second coming."

Jay also explained Beyonce - whom he married in 2008 - is like a "machine" in terms of making music, which inspires him to keep creating albums.

He added: "The hard work and dedication that she puts into her shows, it just makes you want to work harder at your own craft. She's like a machine."

The 41-year-old hip-hop star was recently approached to join the 'Michael Forever' tribute concert, which is due to take place at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on October 8.

Justin Bieber, Chris Brown and Kanye West have also been asked to perform at the event, which will mark the life of the music legend.
