Chris Hemsworth says his actress wife Elsa Pataky's fiery Spanish personality keeps him under control.
Chris Hemsworth admits his wife's ''fiery'' personality keeps him ''in check''.
The 'Thor' actor - who tied the knot with Spanish actress Elsa Pataky in 2010 less than a year after being introduced by their mutual agent - admitted he knew ''pretty soon'' that she was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
He said: ''I knew pretty soon that this was who I wanted to be with. I feel lucky to have met someone who - whatever's going on in the work side of my life - is there with me to give me a hand, or keep me focused, or keep me in check and she certainly does.
''She's Spanish, she's passionate, she's fiery.''
However, Chris explained the couple - who are expecting their first child together - have imposed a two-week rule on their marriage so they never too long without seeing each other.
He added in an interview with Britain's Glamour magazine: ''You get to the two-week mark and it gets uncomfortable then, so you want to go home.
''So far we've managed not to work at the same time, so let's Hope it stays that way. If I'm on one side of the world and she's on the other, that's not the healthiest scenario for our relationship.''
