Maybe not officially, but given his massive weight loss of late, radio host Chris Moyles is certainly on hand to gain some kind of award or recognition as he looked almost unrecognisable as he posed with his cast-members of Jesus Christ Superstar along with the shows creator Andrew Lloyd Webber, reports the UK's Sun newspaper
Owing to the major weight shedding, Moyles credited an intensive training and dieting regime to help get him down to a much healthier physique. And the reason for this major health shift? Because he has been chosen to take on the role of King Herod in the latest production of the hit West End play, alongside fellow stars Tim Minchin and former Spice Girl Melanie C. Comedian and sometimes singer/songwriter Minchin will take on the role of Judas Iscariot whilst Mel will be taking on the female lead of Mary Magdalene.
In response to his appointment with the stage, Moyles said to The Sun newspaper that being given the chance was "amazing" and that his "mum's gonna be well excited!" The title role of Jesus Christ on the other hand will be awarded in a much more novel fashion, with the protagonist being picked through a series of eliminations during an upcoming Itv1 talent show to find the perfect singing Messiah. The show, titled simply Superstar, will air on Itv later in the year and will be a live show filmed at different venues across the country that will be judged over by a panel including Lord Lloyd Webber.
