Adam Levine is the most ''real and honest'' person in showbusiness.

The musician impressed his country singer counterpart Blake Shelton on the US version of 'The Voice' with his down-to-earth nature, despite his huge fame as the lead singer of Maroon 5.

Blake said: ''So many times when you meet somebody who's work you respect, they end up being a d***head. But Adam has to be the most real, honest, easy to talk to person that I've met in all of showbusiness. He's just a good dude with superhero powers.''

Adam wasn't initially sure that he should accept a job on the judging panel of 'The Voice', but once he saw Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler on 'American Idol', he was sure he could do it.

The 'Moves Like Jagger' singer told Details magazine: ''If he can get away with it, so can I!''

Although he stars on a reality TV show, Adam is not a big fan of the genre, adding: ''I accept there are 'Real Housewives' out there, but I don't' need to watch a f***ing television show about it. These people are living their lives publicly so they can become famous and rich. I despise that.''

Adam appears on 'The Voice' with Blake, Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green.
