Chrissy Teigen loved the ''ultra-feminine silhouette'' of her Met Gala gown.

The Sports Illustrated model looked stunning as she walked the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's 2015 Costume Institute Benefit in New York last night (04.05.15) alongside her husband John Legend in a one-of-a-kind black, floor length St. John Knits dress.

However, speaking about the low-cut back and leather belt detailing, Chrissy said that it was ''a bit daring'' but that it had ''such a sophisticated and ultra-feminine silhouette.''

The bespoke gown, which also featured long sleeves with oversized ruffle cuffs, had 87,000 ''black jet'' Swarovski stones hand-set onto the bodice and skirt.

The 29-year-old beauty added to People magazine: ''The intricate embellishments and details are truly amazing.''

Chrissy also added a dazzling Judith Leiber fan-style clutch bag to her outfit and wore red orchids in her hair to fit in with the Chinese theme, which was chosen to celebrate the opening of the institute's 'China: Through the Looking Glass' exhibition.

Earlier in the day the stunning brunette was spotted out and about in the city looking equally stylish in a leather biker jacket and peep-toe boots.
