Anticipation for the last installation of Christopher Nolan's take on the Batman saga is ready to reach boiling point as the latest DARK KNIGHT RISES has emerged online, in cinemas and on television the world over. The trailer offers a whole new look into what we can expect from the closing epic set in the fictional Gotham City.

According to a report in The Metro, the promo shot features a C130 transporter plane soaring over the Scottish Highlands, with the lush scenery of the country being incorporated into the film a considerable amount. The shots were taken last year, with a number of stuntmen being incorporated into the shots that see a number of parachute jumps out of a private jet. The trailer also shows a number of new shots, revealing a little more of the elusive villain Bane as well as fellow newcomer Catwoman.

Christian Bale reprises his role as the Caped Crusader, with Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman also reprising their roles. Joining the existing cast, Anne Hathaway will take up the role of Catwoman, whilst Brit-actor Tom Hardy will take up the role of villain Bane. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard have also been cast, although their roles have yet to be expanded on yet.
