An online dating service whose slogan is "Life is short. Have an affair" attempted to purchase ads on the premiere episode of The Kennedys next week but was turned away by the channel carrying it, the New York Post reported today (Thursday). In an interview with the newspaper's "Page Six" column, ReelzChannel CEO Stan Hubbard described AshleyMadison.com as "a dating service for people that want to cheat on their spouses. ... I don't care if anyone cheats, but I don't think Reelz is the place for that to be presented, particularly for The Kennedys. " Hubbard acknowledged that the controversial miniseries, which was originally rejected by the History Channel as unsuitable, explores the president's alleged infidelities; however, he insisted that doing so was justified because they were "part of the circumstance that create the family dynamic that JFK is in while making decisions that affect the nation."
