Hell's Kitchen Is Too Hot For Shameless Star Lathamby Contributor | 20 April 2009
Actor Jody Latham has become the first contestant fired from the new series of Hell's Kitchen.
The Shameless star had clashed with other contestants, including Anthea Turner and Grant Bovey, and later vaulted the fence of the living quarters on the ITV1 show.
Though he initially did not appear for his exit interview with host Claudia Winkleman, he later said his time on the cooking contest had been a "positive experience".
"I've got no regrets at all," the 27-year-old added.
"I got from it what I needed. I'm not upset at all."
Latham had sworn and called his colleagues names - labelling former Blue Peter host Turner a "silly cow" - though despite White sacking the young actor, he admitted he could relate to Latham's temper.
The chef added: "I can't help but see part of myself in him. There's one very big difference though - I was highly disciplined by the people I worked for.
"You may not agree with my decision of last night but remember I came into Hell's Kitchen to do a job, not to be liked, not to make friends."
White continued: "I don't like people who label people. I was labelled as a young man, as an angry young man. There's a big difference between anger and hurt and the man to my right is a man who's been hurt in his early life.
"Even though I've not spoken to him I recognise it within him."
Comedian Adrian Edmonson and former footballer Bruce Grobbelaar are the favourites to win the current series of Hell's Kitchen.
