Coco Rocha has chopped her hair into a pixie cut.

The Canadian supermodel live tweeted her dramatic haircut as her husband snipped her chest-length locks into an asymmetrical short crop.

She announced on Twitter: ''It's happening! @JamesConran taking the first cut of my hair.''

The brunette's radical chop - which was inspired by actress Tilda Swinton - was then finished off by Los Angeles-based hairdresser Anh Co Tran.

Sharing before and after pictures of her tresses, Coco wrote: ''Huge thanks to @AnhCotranHair for giving me the coolest hair cut of my life! #BabyTilda #shorthairdontcare''.

The 24-year-old star is known as a fashion chameleon and is never afraid to try radical new styles, advice she imparts to the girls she mentors on modelling competition 'The Face'.

She told Allure magazine after the haircut: ''I still need to keep that versatility for my job. I want to be able to play with it and style it in different ways. It's exactly what I wanted, to a tee. I'm freaking out, but in a really, really good way!''

Coco's drastic chop comes after superstar Beyonce shocked the world by cutting her flowing locks into a pixie crop last week.
