Colin Firth has been honoured by officials at the American Institute for Stuttering for his portrayal of a stammering royal in The King's Speech.
The Brit won the Best Actor Oscar for the role of King George VI earlier this year (11) and now he has another accolade to add to his collection.
He was honoured with a contribution award at the organisation's annual gala in New York, which was hosted by Young Victoria actress Emily Blunt, on Tuesday night (07Jun11).
Firth wasn't able to attend the prizegiving, but he taped an acceptance speech from a film set in London.
