Rapper Common refuses to see the negative in TERMINATOR SALVATION co-star Christian Bale's on-set meltdown - because it was great promotion for the new film.
The rap star was on-set and in his trailer when Bale took exception to director of photography Shane Hurlbut stepping into his line of vision to correct a lighting problem during a tense scene.
Common insists he didn't hear his co-star's foul-mouthed rant, but he quickly realised something was amiss when he got the call to clear the set.
And he now insists the media furore about the leaked audio tape, which featured Bale's outrage, was all a fuss over nothing and it was big boost for the film: "Let's just call it a misunderstanding... It eventually became promo for Terminator Salvation. Some people put music to it and it was a song out in the clubs - his (Bale) song was bigger than mine."
Common insists anyone who thinks Bale is a bad man for the tirade he rained down on Hurlbut is a fool: "I want to say to everybody Christian Bale is a great human being, a great guy, and some things happen like that."
