Cory Monteith's co-stars can't wait to reconnect with him.

The 'Glee' actor's good pal and colleague Kevin McHale is thrilled he has completed his month-long stay in rehab for substance abuse and praised Lea Michele for standing by him.

The 24-year-old star told EOnline.com at Tammy Haddad's annual White House Correspondents' Garden Brunch in Washington D.C. on Saturday (27.04.13): ''I'm very excited.''

Kevin revealed that he hasn't spoken to Cory, 30, since he left rehab and jetted off on holiday with Lea this week but he added: ''I saw the pictures. He looks great.''

He is also extremely proud of Cory for taking a break from his career to seek treatment.

He said: ''It was the right thing to do'', before praising Lea Michelle for helping Cory through his problems, saying: ''He's got a good woman behind him.''

Cory, who was previously treated for addiction at the age of 19, returned to Twitter on Friday (26.04.13) to thank his fans for being there for him and admitted it has meant a lot to him.

He wrote: ''Sending out big love to everyone. Thank you for the continued support! It means the world to me!''

His 26-year-old girlfriend similarly expressed her gratitude for her fans' well wishes and tweeted shortly afterward: ''Today is a great day. Love you all! Xo.''

The couple jetted off on holiday as soon as Cory completed his treatment.

A witness who spotted them at Los Angeles International Airport previously said: ''Both Lea and Cory seemed very happy, smiling the entire time.

''When security asked Cory how he was doing, he said good. They were friendly to those around them and appeared in great moods and excited to get out of town.''
