The Wanted star Jay McGuiness admits he is intimidated by the signs made for the band by older women.
The Wanted's Jay McGuiness is terrified of older women.
The 21-year-old hunk - who is joined in the boy band by Max George, Siva Kaneswaren, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes - is shocked at some of the signs ''cougars'' display at the group's gigs and wishes they would tone it down for the sake of the younger fans.
He said: ''We have a lot of cougars at our gigs. It's weird to see a little girl screaming, next to a cougar with the filthiest sign you have ever seen.
''You think, 'I hope that little girl doesn't look up.' You shouldn't learn language like that at her age. I have to Google what the signs mean. Then I think, 'You must stop looking at those weird sites.' ''
However, it is not only the older fans Jay has a problem with, he was also left ''intimidated'' when a younger fan chased after the band's tour bus.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: ''This one girl was crying like a whale. But she should enter the Olympics. She sprinted after our bus, she was sweating so much, but winking at the same time. Quite intimidating.''
Since finding success in the US, the British group has had to deal with obsessed fans, most recently a girl from the UK was found hiding in their tour bus.
Max said: ''We found her on the bus and she was begging us to let her stay.
''I said to her, 'Well, you can, but you need to think really carefully about travelling with a bunch of lads.' Then I started to see things weren't right. She started to scare the s**t out of me, to be honest. She was a big girl from Wigan and it became one of the most scary things I've seen from a fan. I had been sort of joking with her but then she wouldn't leave the bus. She just refused to go.
''Security ended up coming and literally pulled her out.''
