Courtney Love has slammed Foo Fighters star Dave Grohl for denying he "hit on" her daughter Frances Bean Cobain. The former Nirvana drummer issued a statement denying the speculation, but Courtney has hit back again, insisting Grohl's comments are "bullsh*t".
Love also told the New York Daily News, "Dave's a piece of sh*t, but he's a really good drummer. You can quote me on that". The widow of Kurt Cobain sent the rumor mill into overdrive on Tuesday evening (April 10, 2012) by taking to her private Twitter account and accusing Grohl of hitting on her 19-year-old daughter, who is reportedly engaged to the Rambles lead-singer Isaiah Silva. On Wednesday, she claimed to have heard about the incident from "an old friend" who allegedly witnessed Grohl coming onto the 19-year-old, saying that he had "his hands all over her". Following Love's comments, the Foo Fighters man issued a statement saying, "Unfortunately, Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant. These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue".
However, in the latest comments, Courtney says she is "certainly not going to retract anything" and even claimed Grohl "used to consistently" hit on her back in the day and "slept with three of my bass players". Love signed off by saying, "Unfortunately, Dave is on another Kurt rant, by turning him into a Muppet and hitting on his daughter", referring to the accusation that Grohl sold out her late husband by permitting Nirvana's smash-hit 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' to the sung by Kermit the Frog for the 2011 Muppets movie.
