Courtney Love has revealed she has Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci to thank for improving her sense of style.
Courtney Love says Riccardo Tisci has changed her fashion style.
The Hole rocker has worn numerous pieces designed by the Givenchy creative director and admits his ideas for how she should look and dress go far beyond her own.
She said: "The people who have changed me are stylist Paulo Yiapanis, Riccardo Tisci, Rick Owens and Karl Lagerfeld. They have all made me see fashion in more elegant terms. Riccardo's vision is stronger than mine, so I'm ecstatic to try to live up to former Givenchy iconic muses."
The 46-year-old musician gets very excited about fashion and can still remember the first piece she was sent by a designer.
She added to UK Elle magazine: "My first fashion freebie was a gift from Calvin Klein, believe it or not. Calvin has always been lovely to me, and his daughter, Marci, is wonderful."
Although she can now call herself a Muse for Riccardo and Givenchy, Courtney admits she made bad fashion choices when she was living a wild rock 'n' roll lifestyle.
The 'Malibu' singer - who is the widow of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain - said: "My greatest fashion regret is all the years taking drugs. That was a bad look."
