Cybill Shepherd has become engaged for the third time, according to the New York Daily News. And she seems to have landed on her feet, as far as getting a fancy engagement ring goes. The 62 year-old actress has managed to bag herself a Serbian fiance, who just so happened to be a jeweller. The sparkling stones of her new ring were set inside a white gold band and Cybill seemed over the moon at her decision to marry again.
Shepherd's new fella is Andrei Nikolajevic. He used to be a jeweller but is now a psychologist. The couple met through mutual friends and Cybill described the moment that Andrei popped the question, saying "it was very romantic and on one knee." She added "I never thought I'd get married again." She was previously married to both David Ford and Bruce Oppenheim. She divorced Oppenheim in 1990. According to the New York paper, Andrei popped the question a few weeks ago. She revealed the news to the paper's theatre critic Joe Dziemianowicz.
Shepherd is currently appearing in 'The Best Man' on Broadway. She plays the role of a politician's wife. It's a star-studded affair, with James Earl Jones, Kristin Davis and Jefferson Mays all starring in the play, from Gore Vidal. Shepherd might have to put off planning the wedding just yet, though, as the current run of the play is not scheduled to end until September 9, 2012.
