Eighties icon Cyndi Lauper is celebrating the 30th anniversary of her debut She's So Unusual by heading out on tour.

The Girls Just Want to Have Fun hitmaker catapulted to stardom after releasing the album in 1983, and now she will mark her three decades in the spotlight with a 23-date trek across the U.S.

Lauper will perform She's So Unusual in its entirety at the upcoming concerts, which kick off in San Diego, California, on 12 June (13).

She says, "It's been such an amazing year for me. When I realised it's also the anniversary of the album that started my solo career, I knew it was the perfect time to thank my fans for sticking with me through it all. I'm so excited to perform She's So Unusual from beginning to end, song by song and I can't wait to see everyone!"
