Pop veteran Cyndi Lauper has seen her career come full circle with the upcoming release of her memoir - because she landed her very first job at the company publishing her book.
The True Colors singer struck a deal with editors at Simon & Schuster to write her autobiography earlier this year (12) and Lauper admits she has a little personal history with the firm.
She tells the New York Post, "My first job was at Simon & Schuster. I lied about my experience to get the job. Now (they're) publishing my book, so I guess I have a second chance to get it right."
The tome is set to be released this autumn (12).
