Cyndi Lauper's Broadway musical Kinky Boots is officially a hit after moving into profit in just 30 weeks.

The Tony Award-winning show, based on the 2005 film of the same name, managed to recoup its initial investment of $13.5 million (£9 million) since its grand opening in April (13).

The pop star provided the score for the production, directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, about a British shoe factory saved from going broke with the help of a drag performer.
