CHARLIE'S ANGEL DREW BARRYMORE was left stunned when her trip to an anti-war party turned out to be a raunch-fest at a gay bar.

The Hollywood actress made an impassioned plea for peace at an anti-war event in Hollywood on Thursday night (20MAR03) before heading off to another rally at a raunchy gay bay.

At the GLOBAL VISION FOR PEACE event held at the historic TALMADGE estate in Los Feliz, California, Barrymore read aloud a letter from the Dalai Lama declaring that war "is not the solution" and calling for "global demilitarisation" to a starstudded audience, including Beau Bridges, Jon Favreau, Marcia Gay Harden, Jennifer Tilly and Pedro Almodovar.

Then, at midnight, Barrymore and a pal showed up at FUBAR, a gay hot-spot on West Hollywood's Santa Monica Boulevard that features hardcore porn playing on video monitors.

The bar's 'Show Your Piece for Peace' party was in full swing, and Polaroid snapshots of willing men's privates were posted on a wall.

A source tells American showbiz website PAGE SIX that Barrymore tried to make off with one of the pictures, but her publicist informs insists it was a picture of herself that the star placed on the wall before realising the nature of the event.

The representative notes, "She was really embarrassed."
