Dancing With The Stars' professional Karina Smirnoff took a tumble during yesterday's pasodoble routine with partner Ralph Macchio. It was the second fall of Dancing With The Stars season twelve so far, after Kirstie Alley hit the deck during week three, reports MTV News.
Monday's nights show saw Smirnoff trip over MACchio's leg and hit the floor. The 'Karate Kid' star managed to help his partner back to her feet and the routine continued without further incident. Despite the glaring mistake, the couple were praised by the judges. Len Goodman remarked, "I'm proud of you, and you should be proud of yourself", while Bruno Tonioli said, "Once you got back on it, there was no stopping you". The pair earned a respectable 24 points, leaving them well placed on this week's leader-board. Former Playboy bunny Kendra Wilkinson was the evening's biggest surprise, performing an energetic samba routine to Ricky Martin's 'Livin la Vida Loca'. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba noted, "That was a guilty pleasure, my dear. You were in your element" and the pair scored 25.
At the top of this week's Dancing With The Stars leader-board is Romeo and his partner Chelsie Hightower, who danced the waltz to the 'Titanic' theme and scored 28 points. They're joined by Chelsea Kane and partner Mark Ballas, who were awarded the same score, with Hines Ward and his partner Kym Johnson just behind on 27. Wrestler Chris Jericho is expected to be eliminated on tonight's results show after scoring a disappointing 23.
