Hollywood actor Danny Glover has flown into Venezuela for an eight-day visit to study the nation's race relations.
The LETHAL WEAPON star arrived in the South American country on Thursday (08JAN04), where he'll tour social programmes promoted by Venezuelan President HUGO CHAVEZ.
Glover, 56, and his group visited a government-sponsored discount food market in a Caracas slum and a clinic belonging to a program in which Cuban doctors live and work in poor Venezuelan communities.
The California native, who has stirred controversy for expressing support for Cuba and his vocal stance against the recent war on Iraq, says of the American policy towards Venezuela, "It is not a positive one."12/01/2004 08:40
