LETHAL WEAPON star Danny Glover is be honoured with a lifetime achievement award at the SCREEN NATION AWARDS in London next month (SEP04).

Glover, 58, will collect his gong at the ceremony in the capital's CIRQUE on 8 September (04) - in tribute to a critically-acclaimed film career which includes roles in Steven Spielberg's The Color Purple, PLACES IN THE HEART and THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS.

The actor divides his time between Hollywood and charity-work, and was appointed as a goodwill ambassador for the UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM in March 1988.

The event recognises black stars of film and TV.
