Dappy - Dappy Loses Appeal Against Assault Conviction
British rapper Dappy has lost his appeal against an assault conviction stemming from a brawl at a gas station.
The former N-Dubz member was found guilty of assault and affray and was handed a six-month suspended prison sentence in February (13).
The star subsequently challenged the conviction, but his appeal was rejected at London's High Court on Tuesday (30Apr13).
Dappy, real name Costadinos Contostavlos, was not in court as Lord Chief Justice Lord Judge rejected his appeal.
The star's sentence also included 150 hours of community service, and he was ordered to pay $6,900 (£4,500) compensation and $3,000 (£2,000) in court costs.
Dappy's co-defendants, Kieran Vassell, 25, and Alfred Miller, 28, who were also involved in the service station scuffle in Surrey, England, also lost appeals.
