Jason Isaacs has been cast alongside Brad Pitt in 'Fury'.

The 50-year-old actor is the latest addition to the David Ayer-directed World War II epic, which will also star Shia LaBeouf and Logan Lerman, after he landed the role of the experienced captain and war veteran that Wardaddy (Pitt) turns to for advice, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Sony Pictures production is the true story of an army commander and his crew members who go behind enemy lines in their tank just as Nazi Germany collapses at the end of the war in 1945.

Other stars cast in the movie include 'The Walking Dead' actor Jon Bernthal, Michael Pena and Scott Eastwood.

Writer-and-director Ayer is helming the picture based on his own script, while Bill Block, John Lesher and Ethan Smith are producing.

Isaacs most recently finished up filming the co-lead role opposite Wes Bentley in 'Things People Do', which was directed by Sarr Klien, and is set to shoot a segment for 'Rio, I Love You', the latest in the film anthology series which includes 2006's 'Paris, Je T'aime'.

'The Fury' - which has a rumoured budget of $80 million - is currently shooting in London.
