A huge David Beckham statue has appeared in New York.

The 10-foot-tall metallic structure has been placed in the city as part of a new campaign for high street store H&M, and similar silver statues of the soccer star are also set to appear in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

As well as the statue of the Los Angeles Galaxy footballer, a number of black and white pictures of the 37-year-old hunk in his H&M underwear range and other pieces from his clothing line, which features boxer shorts, briefs, vests and long-sleeved tops, have been published.

The unveiling of the statues - which are due to remain in the three cities until August 31 - comes after an image of David's body was projected onto England's White Cliffs of Dover recently.

The stunt was carried out in an attempt to welcome people arriving to England for the London 2012 Olympic Games, which finished on Sunday (12.08.12).
