British comedian David Walliams was hospitalised following his marathon swim along England's River Thames earlier this month (Sep11) after injuring his back.
The Little Britain star raised money for the U.K.'s Sport Relief charity by swimming 140 miles (225 kilometres) along the river from Gloucestershire to Big Ben in London over the course of eight days.
He finished the challenge on 12 September (11), but the funnyman was admitted to hospital after suffering pain in his back.
Walliams is now recovering at home but is receiving ongoing physiotherapy treatment for the injury.
A representative for Walliams tells Britain's Daily Telegraph, "He tore one of his discs as a result of his swim and is now out of hospital, but he is undergoing physio and has had to cancel some appointments."
