The Death Row Records boss was charged with murder and attempted murder following the death of his pal Terry Carter, who was allegedly struck by Knight's vehicle in Compton, California in January (15) following a confrontation on a film set.

Knight, 49, previously pleaded not guilty to both counts, and now Los Angeles prosecutors are asking a judge to set bail for the embattled mogul at $25 million because of his violent past.

Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Barnes filed the motion on Thursday (19Mar15), claiming Knight is accused of threatening others or using violence in 31 incidents, and alleging he has played a part in a number of money laundering and extortion schemes, according to Billboard.com.
