Celebrity designer Marc Jacobs is currently paying tribute to all things Blondie at his store in New York, which is full of books and clothing inspired by Deborah Harry.
The Marc by Marc Jacobs women's boutique on Bleecker Street has been transformed into a pop-up Blondie shop to mark the release of the band's new album, Panic of Girls.
Harry was so impressed by the Jacobs shrine she dropped by earlier this week (beg12Sep11) to check it out.
She tells Billboard.com, "I've had a longtime association with Marc Jacobs since the early days at Cbgb, and he's always been so supportive of the downtown scene. I love and admire the fact that, while he's so successful in the world of high fashion, he's never forgotten his roots."
