Delilah says singing with Prince helped her come out of her shell as a singer.

The 'Shades of Grey' musician toured with the 'Purple Rain' star in Australia and was the most nervous she had ever been opening for him on the first night.

She told BANG Showbiz: ''Singing with Prince really helped in terms of confidence. I was really nervous going on stage before him in front of tens of thousands of people. That was terrifying. I kicked off my high heel shoes because I was scared I was going to fall over, because my legs were shaking.''

The 22-year-old singer said the multi-million selling star personally helped her overcome her stage fright, when she hung out with him and realised what a normal person off stage.

She added: ''We jammed on the guitar on the first night I was there. I went over to his hotel room, which was more like an apartment, and he pulled out his purple guitar. I was quiet at first, but after a while he said, 'Well are you going to sing?' and I was like 'I guess so?'

''He was so kind and so lovely and so normal. I guess I forgot he was Prince and we just got along so well.''
