Demi Lovato has opened up about her recent stint in rehab.
Demi Lovato, the American actress and Disney star, has spoken for the first time about being treated for "emotional and physical issues" in a rehabilitation centre, reports Us Magazine.The 18-year-old appears in a special video message that she posted for her fans over the weekend. In the clip, the actress thanks her legion of followers for their support, saying, "I wanted to let you know that I am back and home. I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for the support you guys have given me along the way...Your support is what got me through this". The 'Camp Rock 2' star has reportedly battled eating disorders in the past, but didn't reveal any details of her latest struggle, saying, "The journey that I've been on has been very difficult over the past few months. I was dealing with issues that I know not only girls just my age but of all ages are dealing with". Lovato hit the headlines in November 2010 after leaving an international tour with the Jonas Brothers. She checked into the rehabilitation centre shortly after.
Demi Lovato didn't go into detail about the current status of her Disney projects or music career, but she hinted towards a return to the screen or stage soon, saying, "I am excited to get back to work".
