OSCAR-winning actor Denzel Washington will never appear in a theatre play, because he couldn't bear to leave his Los Angeles home.

The star confesses he would love to test himself on New York's Broadway or London's West End - but insists his attachment to Hollywood is a stronger bond.

The TRAINING DAY star says, "Movie acting is just about money. I really love the stage but I have to be in LA and I'm not one to commute."
